Every time. That’s why we’ve further developed the Monowalker. We use materials and manufacturing techniques typically employed in areas where reliability isn’t an option, but a requirement.
The Monowalker’s components:

Compact, well-designed, ready for any adventure
The Monowalker now folds completely without tools and, at only 110cm long, fits in any car trunk, airplane, on a quad bike, or in the cargo bay of a helicopter. Ideal if you want to stay mobile in the most remote regions of the world. To fold it, simply remove the rear wheel by loosening the quick-release axle. Then open the quick-release levers for the handlebars, rear triangle, and carbon fiber luggage plate. Now you can fold these components onto the main frame and secure them with the included straps.

The hip belt is available in two lengths:
Size S fits people (women) from 1.58–1.80m (5′2″ -5′11″) tall with a hip circumference of up to 77-87cm (30-34″) .
The standard harness fits waist sizes from 85cm (33,5″) to approximately 1.95m (6′5″) tall thanks to its adjustable shoulder straps and MOLLE system compatibility.

Manufacturing
We manufacture our components in Baden-Württemberg, north of Freiburg, and assemble the Monowalker Fatmate expedition trailer in Freiburg.
The production of this system involves an exceptionally high level of technical and manufacturing expertise. All load-bearing and functionally relevant components are manufactured with the highest precision using state-of-the-art CNC technology. The handle tubes are produced on a CNC-controlled tube bending machine, while the tubes are manufactured using waterjet cutting. Complex milled components are produced on high-precision 5-axis machining centers to ensure the tightest tolerances and optimal fit.
The subsequent joining of the individual parts into structurally robust assemblies is carried out by robot-assisted welding, which guarantees consistently high weld quality and reproducibility. To increase surface resistance and durability, all components are either powder-coated or anodized after glass bead blasting – depending on the functional requirements of the respective component.
Final assembly takes place in Freiburg. Here, all frame components are precisely assembled and mounted. The 4″ tire is equipped with the Tannus Armour Mousse Inlay to ensure maximum puncture resistance and damping properties. The brake system, grip components, and all functional assemblies are then installed.
Each Monowalker Fatmate undergoes a comprehensive visual and functional quality inspection. Only after passing this final inspection is the expedition cart released for use.
