Planning on carrying extra heavy or bulky gear like water, food, camera equipment or dog food when hiking with dogs ? In this case, you want to choose the Monowalker fattire rack – designed by Monowalker Design-
with an extra payload of 24 kg/ 53lb; an add-on rack for the Monowalker fatmate hiking trailer. It is designed for standard bicycle side panier, that you have perhaps in stock or may purchase from us here in the shop.
(FYI – this is an option and not included with the trailer purchase) With gear positioned directly on top of the wheel axle, no extra weight is on the handles!
Technology
To ensure even weight distribution, you should distribute your gear as evenly as possible. You can attach standard bicycle panniers or the ones we offer to the sides of the rack. A note: Using bicycle panniers may limit your choice of terrain or trails, as the panniers are wider than the pannier bag on the Monowalker. If you want to carry water, we recommend using 5-liter hydration packs made of waterproof material. We designed this luggage rack to fit the wide 4″ tire, but it is also tool-free foldable so you can fold it flat with the Monowalker without any additional tools.
